Tips

Basics

Early Game (Levels 1–20)#

  • Sell most fish early: You need coins for your first rod upgrades. Don't hoard.
  • Upgrade your rod ASAP: The Wooden Rod (500 coins, level 5) and Fiberglass Rod (2,000 coins, level 10) both cut your cooldown a lot.
  • Claim /daily every day: The streak bonus grows fast. A 30-day streak adds +750 coins per claim.
  • Don't waste expensive bait at low-level locations: Earthworms are fine at the Stream and Pond. Save Shrimp and Squid for Ocean+.
  • Keep your first Rare+ fish: You'll want them for early collection achievements.
  • Ride your Beginner's Luck: Your first-ever achievement grants 24 hours of 75% faster bites. Fish a lot during that window.

Mid Game (Levels 20–50)#

  • Unlock your camp at level 15: 75,000 coins is a lot, but the passive income pays it back fast. Build the Bait Bin first.
  • Fish at the highest location you can access: Higher base values mean more coins per catch, even with the same rarity.
  • Use /lookup before buying: Check rod and bait stats before spending. /lookup titanium rod shows exact cooldown reduction and rarity bonus.
  • Stack bait + rod bonuses: Magic Bait on a Legendary Rod is a big rarity boost. Save it for your best location.
  • Check your achievements: Many achievements give coin and XP rewards. View them with /profile → Achievements (pick a category).
  • Salvage instead of hoarding gear: Use /inventory → Gear → Salvage to turn 10 unequipped pieces into a chest.

Late Game (Levels 50+)#

  • Get the Pearl Rod: It's the only way to catch Pearlescent fish, which generate pearls passively in your Display Tank.
  • Fill your Display Tank with Pearlescent fish: This is the main way to earn pearls. Pearlescent fish are marked with 🦪 wherever your fish are listed, so you won't sell one by accident.
  • Upgrade Display Tank to level 5: That's five display slots earning for you. Prioritize this once you have the Pearl Rod.
  • Save consumables for long sessions: Use an XP Boost + Rarity Boost together before a long fishing session at a top-tier location.
  • Keep at least one of every species: Mythical and Unique fish are very rare. They're worth more for your collection and achievements than for coins.
  • Fish the Contest Pier: Gear doesn't count in /contest, so a new angler can win it. Each of the three weekly competitions pays 🦪 50 Pearls and a 🎁 Unique Chest. The location changes daily and the week's schedule is posted in advance, so you can pick your days.

General#

  • /fishinfo <code> before selling: Check a fish's value before you sell it. Stacked traits can make it worth much more than it looks.
  • Save Fishing Tickets for cooldowns: A Fishing Ticket from a chest skips your cooldown.
  • Vote every day: Vote Tickets enter the weekly /raffle and buy from the Roaming Trader.
  • Use /effects to track buffs: Don't waste a consumable when one is already active.
  • /stats shows your catch history: Use it to see which rarities you're missing.
  • Redeem codes: Check the official Discord for /redeem codes that give free coins, bait, or consumables.
  • Customise your /card: Once you've unlocked a background, name style or some stamps, set them with /card.
